Surf the Net Securely With a Dedicated VM
JanusVM is an open source VMware image (To get this security tool to work you’ll need VMWare’s free VM PLayer) that leverages Linux, Tor, dns-proxy-tor, Squid, Privoxy, and openvpn in a free (well donation based) pre-configured image.
All you need to do is start this image in VMware and connect VMware’s IP address to your host machine. Once that is done, all of your traffic (including DNS) will be locally encrypted and anonymized over Tor. Although you can install Tor and Privoxy yourself, this VM solution requires no geeky technical skills or software reconfiguration.
