Samsung Begins Production on Its 1.8″ 64GB Solid State Drive

Traditional hard drives be damned, Samsung has begun production on its 64GB solid state drive. Although Samsungs SSD capacity will not outshine your current laptop setup, the whole goal of the new SSDs will be to make computers faster, more efficient, and boost battery life by up to 20 per cent. The only thing that has me scratching my head is why Samsung chose a traditional IDE plug. Currently available only to OEM’s for the rumored price of $1,000.

    I would say it’s IDE because it is an CF card concealed in the box.
