BREAKING: Verizon Experiments with DNS Redirection to Generate Revenue Off Of Misspelled URLs

This means you will be redirected to a Verizon controlled page when you mistype a URL that will most likely work with a partnered search engine. This clear money grab has been proven to be annoying, confusing and misleading to consumers and further illustrates the need for third party DNS products or VPN solutions.
Please stop with the BREAKING titles. It’s not that important.
You know, I was wondering why Verizon’s page kept showing up when I mistyped (not that I do often :P)…. thanks :)
This is important…. Screwing with DNS is breaking the trust of the ISP to the individual.

Good thing I don’t have Verizon internet and am getting away from their wireless service.
BREAKING to me tends to mean really really important. Like it would most likely affect a large group of people in a dire manner.

Not some phone company trying to get extra traffic thru their interwebs.
