Microsoft Surface Comes To Laptops

Microsoft Research still on their Surface high is showing off a multi-touch prototype hacking infrared sensing laptop.

The Cambridge based research team designed specialized IR sensors to sit in the back of a standard portable display and track the location and pressure of your fingers. Seems between the iPhone and Microsofts research touch computing is the way of the future.

    don’t know how the tech will affect prices of hardware but looks likes fun

    Nice but I don’t think it will last long there will be holo-desk soon that use IR and laser to project 3D images you can interact with.

    most technology we have today was dreamt up by science fiction writers… and I’m sure most of the future technology will be the same… realistically they are the brains, we are just the people who are smart enough to make their visions come true ;)

    Wow, leave it to microsoft to take a cool interface and add a half second lag. That thing doesn’t look very responsive.
