News Corp Trying to Sell Yahoo MySpace for $12 Billion

Well not exactly $12 billion, but more like a 30 percent interest of Yahoo (a company which is valued at $37 billion). Of course this is a rumor that The Times of London has floated, but if proven to be true that would be a huge return of investment to News Corp which acquired the social networking site for a then outlandish $580 million.

Yahoo, who is a cash strong company, to sell such a huge stake for a fading social networking site doesn’t make sense – even considering the $1+ billion offer they made for FaceBook.
