Fan of the snooze button? End the dependence with this small bedside mat will beep to wake you up, and will continue to do so until you step on it in order to shut it off. Seems like a great idea to me.
Like all good ideas the carpet Alarm Clock is a concept product right now, with no timeframe for when it would go into production.
shoot, doesn’t look too hard. A few LED’s and a simple switch, wouldn’t be surprised if it’s on MAKE or lifehacker sooner or later
that’d do no good to the really sleepyheads. in high school i put my alarm on the other side of the room to force myself to get up. shortly thereafter i would walk over to turn it off and get back into bed, right back into a dead sleep. maybe if you had several alarm mats, leading all the way to the shower or something.
