Palm Lauches the Foleo
Today at D: All Things Digital Jeff Hawkins introduced Palm’s latest offering, The Foleo.

The Foleo is designed to be an extension of your smartphone, featuring a large screen and full size keyboard to make it easy view and edit email and office documents. With instant boot times, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, the Linux powered portable lives to synced with your smartphone so any changes on either device are reflected on the other.
To make this device tick, Palm is relying on the open source community to develop applications, but it has partnered with DataViz and Opera Software to make sure you can edit all your Microsoft Office documents and browse the web.
Sporting a five hour battery and weighing in at 2.5 pounds the Foleo will ship this summer with a $499 price tag after an introductory $100 rebate. We are not judging the product until we have a chance to test it out over at UNEASYcentral, which should be in the not too distant future.

I have no problem judging things I haven’t tried =P. I think it’s kind of lame. Make sure you keep the receipt.
Interesting note: Jeff Hawkins dumped 15,000 shares yesterday. Maybe he thinks it’s lame too. http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2007/05/30/ap3770761.html
