iTunes 7.2 is Released: Support for DRM free music

Apple released version 7.2 of iTunes. The new version adds support for “iTunes Plus”, Apple’s new DRM-free $1.29 offerings announced in April. At the time of this posting there are no DRM free songs available for purchase, buy I’m sure Steve Jobs will make some kind of announcement at “D: All Things Digital” today.

Mac and PC users fire up your software update to fetch the latest update.

    It still has ties back to iTunes with your account information. To me that’s not free.

    so let me get this straight. To truly own your fairly bought music you have to buy music for more than 25% more than it would normally cost?? Down with iTunes! Viva el foobar2k! I mean come on! It’s as if they WANT you to not buy music :S
