But hey, who’s really looking? Watch full feature length films like 28 Days Later, Casino Royale, and a hell of a lot more. There are even DIVX downloads if you’ve got a little bandwidth to spare.

i thought about that also… but its entrapment if they did that … well if its the full movie and i havent watched any of them it said i needed to download a plugin and i was not on my computer so i didnt download it so if there not full movies… THEN worrie haha
They are full movies. Some are divided into parts. It appears to be run by stage6.
And you probably needed the Divx plugin for your browser.

Screw the MPAA Sammer just click the small arrow to download I suggest you use firefox for high speed once you are done just rename the file and add a .avi at the end of the file.

Seems because of people making this site to popular, one of those idiots with a mouthpiece got the whole site shut down… dammit that was the dopest site out there to date… people need to keep the underground, underground, and do everyone a favor don’t post this type of info for every lamer nark to screw it up for the bunch.

Thought I’d let you guys know, as Joox was essentially a means of aggregating the better content (movies, tvshows, etc) uploaded to Stage6, all the stuff that you’ve enjoyed streaming up ’til now is still available – albeit, in a more disorganized structure.
Nonetheless, I’ll miss Joox :’(

I too lament the publicity that has been given to Joox. I pray for its return in one form or another. It was a superlative source of info into the greater glory of the DIVX community, (whom I venerate as true champions of the right to decent entertainment).
As at this moment, Joox is not connecting for me…all I get is a search engine now (Dell and Google’s way of saying no).
I can understand people passing around great URLs to share – this is exactly what people are doing in all these sites. We are sharing stuff with friends. This has gone on for decades in one form or another. Most people aren’t that interested in visual entertainment to the degree that we are in sites like Joox.
The one consolation for me has been seeing how swift is the anger of people when places like this are exposed outside of the enthusiast circles. The entertainment magnates should better understand that they do a very poor job of making their material accessible at reasonable rates.
The imperative to maximise profit cuts across the program makers original intention – to entertain and inform. I don’t have a problem with reasonable profits for the people who make good entertainment and drama. I would be prepared to pay a reasonable sum (like DVd rental) to see good entertainment.
But while systems like ITunes and others only allow certain people (usually in the US or in the UK) access to the shows, people like me living in other countries will continue to depend on sites like Joox. Why shouldn’t we provide for ourselves the entertainment that is in our archives ? Many of the shows and films in these sites have made lots of money for the actors and program makers. Let the old shows run free ……
Joox wasn’t shut down and it never will be, I’ll move the server to Asia if I have to but trust me it can not be shut down. I has some server issues, thats all.

I discovered Joox short ago, and have used it several times….but blogs like this will draw attention to the bigwigs and assholes of the world and they will try and stomp it out…I am going to BUY the movies I download IF they are worth the cash…so it is kinda try before you buy eh>?? just like to say good on Sweden for sticking up for their own laws, you all should check out Steal This Movie, on joox, the American goverment thinks they can tell other countries what to do, and think they can dictate what the laws are in other countries. every country in the world has there own laws on how to go about their business, America you dont own the world so stop trying to tell other countries what to do about their laws and look at your own country getting ripped to pieces by your goverment of today. threats of trade imbargoes on Sweden, Australia etc. this is called bulling, it must be stopped.

How come Joox.net is not working. It was working this morning, but when I logged back on, it didn’t work anymore. It kept saying that site couldn’t be found. Why is that?

We have been having server issues, so a new server is on the way. We also have a load issue, so the new server will be twice as powerfull, and twice as fast. Let’s hope joox.net is back and operational shortly :)

How can the site be illegal, every video they have is hosted on Stage6.com. Joox.net simply acts as a link guide to Stage6, that means none of the videos come from the site. If anything is illegal, it’s the videos on Stage6.
I’m getting tired of all this legal issues with the internet and films, the movie companies need to stop being such tight gits and if they really are losing alot of money because of a few videos on the internet, they should set up a bussiness online and offer streamig DVD qaulity films online.

Fair Play STEVE, just retried the site, they mostly work ok, just some of the movies have parts missing, still a good site all the same, but i prefer Joox, they had a bit more choice and not many were split into parts got a feeling we wont be seeing joox again :( anyone got any news

Is google illegal because they host joox? Furthermore even the uploaders have just found an efficient way of sharing something.
Wasn’t it technology in the first place that allowed art to be captured and commoditized? Why should that inherently last forever?
if u guys are reading this apparently, word on the street is that stage6 is shutting down.. that means that joox is soon going to be a part of history and when i say this i am serious that it will be seen in the years to come that joox truly heralded the onset of a time when we didn’t have to pay expensive charges to go watch even a crappy movie and when we didnt have to wait for dvd releases for 1 year.. god bless the person who came up with joox.. and a word for the entertainment industry: if you think that shutting stage6 down will stop us..HAHAHA this is just the beginning and your financial muscle will only stop us for so long…we’re going to make sure that in due time your royalties are sufficient enough just to buy you a year’s subscription of the services of an internet services provider and so you can watch before your greedy freakin eyes as to how we’ll make you paupers..

shut up stupid. i typed something for joox into google and this is the third link that popped up. why do you care if its legal or not? get off your moral high horse and go do some actual good if you’re so concerned about the well being of people getting their millions. why dont you go and give some of your money to someone who actually needs it instead of complaining about how we’re robbing rich people. grow some balls and set your priorities straight before preaching about what is legal, because half the laws that are passed are bull.
