On the other hand, this could open up a totally new market of gadgets designed to remind you to do things that are bad for you! Think of the possibilities: an alarm clock that goes off every hour whether you want it to or not, blinds for your computer screen so that you never look away and your eyesight goes down the toilet, and a phone that only outputs sound at 45dB to guarantee hearing loss as soon as possible! I can’t wait!

“Ideally, you should lean slightly back, at an angle of about 135 degrees, they say.”

I don’t think I could pull off sitting at 135 degrees and getting any work done at my computer. A nap would soon follow.

  6. Ian Adams says:

Really? I find it really difficult to work if my chair doesn’t lean back. Sure, I’ll sit up when I need to, but my default state is one where I’m leaned back.
