Seeing this video makes me a little more comfortable operating a table saw. No matter how cautious you are around equipment and tools, accidents happen. Hopefully, hardware with smart sensing, like that pictured above, can aid in reducing work related injuries. [via]
What if your lazy and want to use the saw to cut up hot dogs for beans and weaners?
Just another example of the Man not letting us do what we want with what we buy.
Hot dogs everywhere can breath a sigh of relief.
I wonder if this is a single-use technology? Ie does it work by destructively braking the blade into a block underneath the table, or can it do this trick again and again?
JAR_JAR: According to the website, there’s a brake underneath that will have to be replaced. But if it saves my fingers from being lopped off, I’m all for it.
Actually, your fingers are still in danger. It only works on hot dogs.
