USB Squid at ThinkGeek

Being a great fan of the Power Surge Squids, I couldn’t help whipping out my wallet after seeing the USB Squid on ThinkGeek. The convenience of extension "arms" can now be enjoyed on your desktop with your favorite peripherals. It’s your for $20 and offers the convenience of four additional USB ports to your original one.

The biggest difference between the USB Squid and other USB Hubs is the USB Squid’s arms can bend in any direction (so all your USB cords don’t have to be coming from the same place!) Also, they have ridges on one side and the top – and indents on the bottom and other side. You can actually connect the USB ports using these ridges in many different configurations.

Speaking of USB hubs, what are you using? My Belkin hubs are all stuffed.

I think it’s a really good idea, most ports on most hubs are too closely bunched to plug devices in next to each other. Some people buy hubs so there’s more space to plug their devices in but if the hubs present the same problem as a normal motherboard… i.e. too bunched up…

  2. Imagine a wireless USB hub…!
