Watch as Judge Judy punks an eBay scammer for sending two photographs of cellphones rather than the actual handsets. I hate eBay scammers! Has anyone had a similar experience where the seller sent something that was completely unexpected?

Back in 2001, I bid on a laptop (PowerBook G4) and never got it.

Turned out to be a huge scam in Florida. Quite a long drawn out ordeal with the Florida DA, multiple arrests, people jumping bail, and jail time.

Long story short, I get $15.60 a year until all $2000 + interest is paid back.

  2. David says:

That’s horrible. Neither your bank, nor paypal, nor the credit card company stepped up and paid you back?

$5000 judgement! Yesssss! Way to go Judge Judy!

This is ridiculous! It goes to show you, you really need to read the auction description and make note of it. And does Judge Judy really have the right to make fun of her like that, I mean sure she’s clearly a nobody but Judge Judy doesn’t exactly know the lady. If she has the time to waste and is that desperate why doesn’t she present Judge Judy with a defamation of character lawsuit?

Fortunately I myself have never fell victim but at least this person did not get away with it. Remember kids to piss off Judge Jude, she’ll bite your head off!

I too got scammed about 2 months ago by a fellow in Florida. I was to get a gift card for $90 and he sent me an empty envelope (with USPS tracking #)..

The chick who won the $5000 should have said “Hey fat chick, thanks for the shopping spree!”

I bought a 360 on ebay when they first came out, didn’t receieve it, so I got the person’s personal info through Ebay and called. It was a kid pretending to be a Father saying his kids did it. He said he’d give me a refund – next day I get on PayPal and it shows up that he refunded me then somehow the money went back to him at the same time. I called PayPal and they couldn’t figure out what he did either. Eventually I just filed a report to my Visa and refused to pay for it. A month later I got a call from Visa who was still investigating asking me if I ever received the 360. I can’t believe the guy still wasn’t giving up, even when the credit card companies were on to him!

I bought in in-dash DVD player for my car. Never got it. Filed a report with the FBI’s web fraud department. Turns out the guy was also wanted for quitting his branch of the military without permission – there’s a term to describe this, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it is. I got to testify in the case and got a full refund.

You just can’t trust sites like ebay anymore. It’s really a shame because eBay used to be so cool… But now it is just full of assholes who are looking to rip someone off… it’s the worst feeling in the world when you realize that someone has scammed you, and it is such an ordeal to get it resolved, if it ever does. I sold a computer to someone in Russia. Turns out that they had stolen credit card info from a man in Arkansas. I find this out 2 months later when an investigator contacted me. I had since transfered the money from my PayPal account to my bank account. After this happened, PayPal reversed the charge on my account and now there is negative in there. I refuse to pay them. Paypal is still refusing to credit me the money because it was an international transaction or something. I can’t get a clear reason from them, nor could I understand the outsourced accent, PayPal sucks.

  15. Ian says:

I agree with Joshua. eBay was a great site like 7 years ago, but now it’s a risk simply not worth taking (unless it’s like a $15 item or less). Word from the wise, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Does anyone take that Judge Judy serious? I definitly don´t after seeing this

  17. deady says:

i was on judge judy.. tis all fake hehe judy is paid to act “outrageous” n shit like that..in the next isle is judge joe browns “set”

also, even though she fucked up, shes not paying anything kuz the judge judy producers actually pay for your expenses if you lose or win, so the producers pay the mother and daughter the full amount

so the chick with the hott tits gets $700 just for showing up hehe

  18. Ravi says:

ebay is still good…u just have to watch what you buy and who you buy it from. i’ve purchased lots of stuff from ebay anywhere from a usb cable to a 700dollar pda phone…but yea knock on wood i’ve been lucky.

but yea scammers who think ppl r gonna buy a wholesale list of ps3 sellers for 100dollars…and idiots who actually bid on it…i wonder what they r thinking when they bid

  19. pete says:

judge judy is a quack….its not a scam if its printed out on paper, i don’t know what it said so I can’t say who is right, but if it says your buying a picture, that is what you are buying….not that it is the honest way to go, but legally the fat chick would be right.

  20. KATE says:

Even though it did say that the phone was a picture, the description did not match the actual item… so, not only did she have the intention to scam but she also lied about the weight of her product making it appear like the real thing as oppose to the pieces of paper.. that in a way is giving out the wrong message… so legally, the fat chick would be wrong.
