Well, I better watch out then :P I have an original MB, Core Duo, 2GB RAM. It runs EXTREMELY hot when doing anything for more than 15 minutes, and I can't use it on my lap because it literally burnt my left thigh. It also makes a strange noise with the fan.

I just hope it doesn't melt.

Has to be the temperature of the room. I have left my black MacBook running with a paused DVD in Front Row. Had no problem with temperature.

However, my MacBook Pro gets extremely hot after 20 mins use, especially above the keyboard.

Maybe the location cause a problem too? I've been turning on my Macbook for days and watching TV, doing graphic, listening music non-stop, though it is VERY hot, but didn't melt?
