Monitor your website uptime using Twitter with a free service known as MoniTwitter. With MoniTwitter and your standard Twitter account, you can have server issues or unavailability errors reported directly to a public or private Twitter account. Once your website is associated with a specific Twitter account, you can subscribe to that Twitter account and receive updates via SMS, web, or email.

What about a monitoring app for twitter, for when that goes down? :(

I love twitter but I could never rely on them to be up 24/7, especially for something like server monitoring.
