Have a Verizon Blackberry (UGH what a horrible theme) and crave Cingulars fancier UI? Little did you know that all Blackberries have all vendors themes installed on them. They are just hidden from you, with a little hackery you can unlock those hidden themes and you other vendors look and feel on your handheld.

Step 1) Find your current OS software file located here in most cases…
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\”deviceOSversion” exp. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8700-v4.1.0.286_P2.0.0.123

Step 2) Right click on the “Blackberry.alx” and select “Open with” and select notepad or wordpad.

Step 3) Once opened look for the following in the text below. For help I made the text in red.

Much geekery ensues, so I suggest you click on the link to find out how to unleash all the graphical madness.

The folks over at blackberryforums.com have a forum posting with most of these pre-modified for you. Just download and place in the directory.
