From my favorite MAKER, you can instruct FireFox to open two or more pages open up in tabs as your start page. All you need to do is just put a link, the pipe symbol “|” and the other link.

or just open desired start pages and click “use current pages” in the startup preferences…

i discovered this just a few weeks ago. I was changing my start page using the “Use Current” option and forgot that I had two tabs open. It was a pretty useful mistake.

Where is the “pipe” symbol on the keyboard?

Boy you guys are kinda late on the uptake… I figured this out when i first started using Firefox

  5. Dan says:

The | (pipe) is right above the enter key.

And sometimes we like old tips, and expose them to the world :)

I happened to be lucky enough to discover this when I first started using FF. If I woulda thought that it was such an unknown trick, I woulda shared it.

Even better.. use a plugin called session saver, and it will keep all your tabs for the next time you open ffox

  8. Kieran says:

Stupid question but I have somehow managed to get FF to open two tabs on launch and I don’t know why.

Any idea how I can reverse this back to only tab only.

  9. Kieran says:

Have now figures it out thanks to another site.

    have managed to reverse it.
