Windows Mobile 6 screenshotAlthough the official Windows Mobile 6 upgrade will be officially released this Friday, users who insist on having the latest before anyone else will enjoy the fact that the official upgrade has been leaked. Find out more information on the Windows Mobile 6 leak at gadgetsonthego.com.

T-Mobile is expected to offer the Windows Mobile 6 upgrade to current Dash owners next week for download. It has been leaked on the usual sites known for obtaining these upgrades (I’m not going to list the sites). You’re better off waiting for T-Mobile to officially post it for download.I am not one who can stand to wait for anything :) so I just upgraded my Dash and all is well.

There are some new applications that were not available in the beta version I was running. An application called Music Plug-In allows you to add a music player plug-in to your home screen. So no need to go through your Start Menu to open up your media player, you can now do it from the home screen, very nice!!!

Personally, I recommend waiting for the official upgrade if you’re an existing Dash user. I would hate to find out that an over antsy user adamant at having the latest WM6 bricked their handset during the process of upgrading. If you wait patiently, the upgrade should appear on the T-Mobile upgrade page.

Anyone knows if there is a generic update, compatible with the O2 Cosmo version of this phone?
