All those good times and jokes are gone, how can the movie be any less depressing? Here's what I think (movies) : 1,2,4 : (funny, exaggerated) 3 : somewhere in the middle 5,6,7 : depressing, less entertaining (dunno about 7, but 2 good guys die is what Rowling says) But I'm really looking forward to this movie! I thought it was the best book yet, and the movie looks promising too. I’m not really looking forward to the movie version of “The HalfBlood prince”. Here’s what I think (movies) :

1,2,4 : (funny, exaggerated)

3 : somewhere in the middle

5,6,7 : depressing, less entertaining (dunno about 7, but 2 good guys die is what Rowling says)

But I’m really looking forward to this movie! I thought it was the best book yet, and the movie looks promising too.

Just do most of the book and that's all there is to it. Great stories and great casting. As for Dumbledore, I actually prefer Michael Gambon to Richard Harris - Gambon gets closer to the Dumbledore in the books, IMHO. Not that Harris was bad, but he seemed a bit aloof compared to the more earthy interpretation by Gambon. Also, I think the comment about Dumbledore being replaced was regarding the storyline, where Umbridge takes over Hogwarts. Really, I don’t think it’s possible to make a bad Harry Potter movie.
