Dell Goes Solid State

Dell has announced the immediate availability of a solid state disk option for their Latitude D420 and D620 notebooks. Weighing in at 32 GB these aren’t the largest drives in the world, but its a step in the right direction. The use of these drives will have noticeable increases in both performance and battery life.

Kinda interesting to have Dell being the first large manufacturer to jump on the solid state bandwagon, but it is welcomed considering their purchasing power could lower the cost of these drives.
