I’m all about little tweaks for my Mac. The biggest nag in 10.4 is the spotlight icon in the upper right corner of the menubar. Why do I need that icon there when I can just hit Apple – F, and have the same results? There is this neat little $5 application called MenuFela was designed to help you reclaim the minimal pixel usage by the Apple menu bar and Spotlight.

To achieve its magic Menufela uses the Applicataion Enhancer by Unsnity, I have noticed it only takes up negligable system resources, and to get id of unnecessary icons, it was worth it to me.

It’s called the “Command” key ;-) (although it should be apple)

Also, its CMD-space to make spotlight pop up in corner.

I don’t understand. why would you be annoyed by a button that’s hardly visible in a space that’s barely used by anything in the first place enough to download yet another program which uses more hard drive space (albeit a slight bit)?
I can understand saving screen space, but only when it makes a big difference in the first place.

  3. Cool shapeshifter theme!
    Where can I find it?
