Paying Taxes via Text Messaging? Can I Borrow Your Cellphone?

There are only two things that are guaranteed in life: Death and Taxes. In the Philippines, their equivalent of the IRS allows you to file your taxes via SMS using their “PAYBIR” service. Not only can you FILE your taxes but if you owe less then $300 you can actually PAY your taxes on your mobile.

This just strikes me odd.

    I’m all for technological movements but doing your taxes over your phone is a little over the top. Some things should take a little hard work.

    We have payed our taxed through sms here in Sweden for 7 years or so.. We win! :-P
