April 17th, Tax Day, has come and gone. Unfortunately, for a number of Intuit TurboTax customers, hitting that filing deadline was nothing more than a nightmare. According to the support forums, customers were unable to file their taxes in a timely fashion due to high traffic which sent Intuit servers to their knees.

Okay, so the deadline has come and gone and I still cannot get my filings to go through. Is Intuit going to reimburse me (and everyone else) when I have to pay penalties?????????????????

News of the TurboTax debacle has spread across the net. I’m kind of glad that I happened to file my taxes through TurboTax the previous Friday. According to CNN Money, late filers who were inconvenienced by TurboTax will not be penalized.
