Personally, any system that I attempted to load Windows Vista on to was considerably slower than if I had left Windows XP running. Why mess with a good thing. If somethings not broke, no point in trying to "fix" it.
I just bought a Vista laptop and was amazed how slow it was, but after I installed this and optimized, it came out faster than my XP install. Unfortunately, the free version is quite limited and I uhh..couldn’t find the full version elsewhere.
it must take a horrible OS to refer to a computer with XP as a “good thing”…
^ Isn’t it? Windows XP feels blistering fast on decent hardware compared to Vista.
I have to admit I am loving my Vista setup and it’s been running like butta ever since I ordered it. I think the key is to just buy a new PC with Vista preinstalled. Every machine I have tried to perform an upgrade on, which still met the minimum requirements, seemed to perform like crap everytime.
My new Gateway tablet works like a charm, can’t wait to load this badboy on it. Thanks for the tip UE.
What your saying is a load of crap. I have a 2GHz AMD processor, 1GB of RAM and a 256MB graphics card, hardly a high end computer, and yet Vista runs JUST AS GOOD as Windows XP did before I upgraded it to Vista. So enough of the comments “Vista requires high end extremely expensive parts to run smoothly” because it isn’t true.
