This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.Ah yes, another reason to HATE the iPhone. According to a notice on Apples website – the cat won’t be let loose until October of this year:
iPhone has already passed several of its required certification tests and is on schedule to ship in late June as planned. We can’t wait until customers get their hands (and fingers) on it and experience what a revolutionary and magical product it is. However, iPhone contains the most sophisticated software ever shipped on a mobile device, and finishing it on time has not come without a price — we had to borrow some key software engineering and QA resources from our Mac OS X team, and as a result we will not be able to release Leopard at our Worldwide Developers Conference in early June as planned. While Leopard’s features will be complete by then, we cannot deliver the quality release that we and our customers expect from us. We now plan to show our developers a near final version of Leopard at the conference, give them a beta copy to take home so they can do their final testing, and ship Leopard in October. We think it will be well worth the wait. Life often presents tradeoffs, and in this case we’re sure we’ve made the right ones.
You know, I’m kinda tired of the iPhone infringing on all things Apple. Can’t wait until the world discovers it battery life WILL suck!

I HATE the iPhone aswell. I want Leopard not iPhone. Leopard is more important because im getting bored of 10.3 (couldn’t be bothered to get 10.4)

I just hope that they can couple the delayed release with some new Mac hardware, like a full refresh of the iMac line and a touchscreen 6G iPod as well…
It’s more likely that the reality distortion field wore off. It has for me. If someone were to give me one, yeah, I’d take it. But, I’m not changing service to Cingular for it. I’ll stick with my BlackBerry.

Well, I never was a fan of the iPhone. Never thought it would have good battery life, and was said so in an interview with Leo. The UI is great, don’t get me wrong – but I’m not gonna have a stiffy in my jeans when I touch it.
Maybe you should have went to MWSF this year instead of Vegas. Sure, the pictures of the iPhone are nice, but in person it’s stunning. I’ve been happy with Tiger so far, so a few more months can’t hurt that much.
Four months is better that four years, I can wait for an os that hasn’t been pushed out the door before it’s properly been hatched. I’m sure they have contracts to deliver the iPhone to AT&T by the date in question, they won’t get in trouble with partners/legal teams if leopard is late, iphone on the other hand…
Steve said “we’re gonna try to get it out by spring, the latest”, it wasn’t an official exact date. To be honest, I don’t even think the stock will take that big of a hit in the short term. Sure, they may dip tomorrow, but in the weeks ahead I’m sure investors will be happier that the iPhone, due to it’s massive media coverage, is released with out a hitch than the OS which never had a firm release date to begin with.

How can you guys hate it before its even been released? All this talk about good/bad features is all hearsay. And now (according to this) we’ll have a few more months to go back and forth on how great or how terrible the iPhone is without any real hands on experience.

I hate the iPhone because I have no use for it. I like that my iPod and my cell phone are separate gadgets. I don’t want to have to worry that if I listen to too much music, that the battery will eventually go down and people won’t have a way to contact me! I also listen to my ipod in my car, and through my bose sounddock. So if I get an iphone, does that mean that my brand new ~$500 phone is going to be sitting in my cup holder and when I get a phone call I’ll have to unplug it from my car, then bring it back up to my ear, then when the call is done, have to plug it back into the car stereo when the call is done, ALL while driving? No thanks. And what if I want to listen to the iPhone through the Sounddock? I’ve got this super cool credit-card sized remote so I can operate the Sounddock from across the room, but if I get a phone call, I’ve got to get up and go answer the phone? Meanwhile, everyone else enjoying my music has to instead listen to my phone conversation? No thanks again!
I want my cell phone in my pocket, and my iPod playing music and videos.
PS – I demand that:
6th Gen iPod == iPhone -Phone + 100GB

But still, I am happy with Tiger, but I should be the one to really be pissed off… here in Canada we aren’t getting the iPhone! So Canadians dont get anything until October, not even iPhone :(
Well we will wait I think it was stupuid to start talking about Iphone on January if so many complicatations are being presented now. Im happy with my SK3 anyways and wont change it for a while.
