Official Blackberry AIM Client
Ah, now you Blackberry users can rejoice. There is now an OFFICIAL AIM client for the Crackberry (so long as you are running OS 4.2).
Instead of texting and sending personal emails during a meeting, you can IM your friends – all under the guise of work. Just visit http://www.blackberry.com/aim in your handhelds web browser, and download the application.
Although I haven’t had much luck getting the client to work, I hear you have to update your devices service books to enable the AIM server connection.

It’s currently only working for Team Mobile users. I am on cingular, did the service book update and still cannot get it to work.
I just got it working on Sprint
now if they would only come out with one for my sidekick….. ohhh wait!
What happened to my Treo’ed authors?!
i have tried a lot of BB messaging programs and i think the best, by far is jive talk. i cant find the link but you can get it for free. it is amazing.
JiveTalk is great, but I think it sucks the juice out of my Pearl a little faster than I think it should.
@Dan
I’m sorry buddy the sidekick be it closed platformed and uber limited not to mention socially raped of “geeky cool” status by teenage girls and meat heads alike (who only bought it because they could check their myspace with it) I just keep coming back to it … only a little bit longer then I’ll probably be totting an iPhone ;)
as for the Treo… all the screws fell out and it stopped charging but Verizon bills were retarded… $125/month and I don’t even get service in my apartment…. no thanks :D
plus I’m a sucker for Selma Hayek ;)
please dan, i just got the blackberry and i have sprint.. and it sucks!
I cant use AOL or AIM
Help!!
Seems they are having issues with the AIM client – do you have unlimited SMS?

I can’t seem to buy JiveTalk on my Blackberry. My trial is over, but it’s not allowing me to purchase the program. What’s the deal?
