I know everybody has been concerned about the status of the Wii contest and I am happy to report we have a winner! Randomly selected entry number one (what are the odds?!) will be receiving an all expenses paid Wii. Congratulations!
For those who did not win, I highly suggest that you subscribe to our email feed to get the latest about another contest we WILL be running shortly.
Glenn sure didn’t seem to excited when he announced the news on Twitter. Shame.
Haha I found Glenn had won through twitter before I saw this. Congrats!
Hmmm, I think I want to look at that random selection code. I think it has a bug in it, otherwise I’m sure I would have won.
I call shenanigans.
If that random number was FLOORed, I’m sure commenter #2 would be ticked off. Anyways thanks for the contest!
LOL… There are no shenanigans here. It was played out fair and square, after I removed the comments that had no link whatsoever. And Chris stay tuned, there is another one soon!
another one we wont win.
Well I tried didn’t I, if mine didn’t count I want a do over (just kidding)
Congrats!
@Cynic
Then don’t participate.
All you had to do was post uneasy’s link someplace. Which took all of what, five minutes?
The rules are ridiculously simple and you can win a great prize. I dont understand the pessimism.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…
He beat me by 51 SECONDS… 51 freakin seconds…
*dies*
I say we hold another contest and only allow people named ‘Don’ to win. =)
aww.. and for sure i though this time a delay was what would win, not right away first post.:confusion: random just got a little less random.
Justin… Trust me, it was random…. Just like you have the same odds winning the lottery with the numbers 1,2,3,4,5 as opposed to 18,20,34,40,51
The random number was 1
At least you get to enter. I’m in the UK, so sod all for me :(
…
but how will Glenn even use this thing? It’s region locked for the USA and Canada. Furthermore, the contest says it’s limited to USA and Canada; Glenn says he lives in New Zealand. Not trying to be a prick, but it’s only fair. Maybe somebody’ll correct me.
oh yeah.
Dang, awww and all that cause I didn’t win. =(
lol@ myke.
its discouraging when you read and refresh this site 50 times a day, literally, and then all these names come out of the woodwork youve never seen and they get rewarded. STFU idiot.
God damn Cynic, you’re turning into a parody of yourself. Whenever you comment it’s usually to say something hyperbolic and stupid, but this takes the cake. You’re pissed off that you didn’t get something for free, and then, because Myke pointed out that it’s kind of dumb to be pissed off about that, you tell him to STFU? pfft.
Andre, I am excited, that Twitter message was posted when I was half-asleep, I am very excited about winning this Wii!
Indraneel, the machine WILL work in New Zealand, I just have to purchase a power adaptor to make it work correctly.
Once again, thanks to the uneasysilence team!
@Glenn, I know, I was kidding. And I can see you’ve made amends with Twitter. ;)
@Glenn
argh. I just though because the post said USA and Canada only… and as Mikey said, he can’t even enter as he lives in the UK…. argh. can’t believe I didn’t win. Some people have all the luck….
you went ‘pfft’
which means i win.
@Mr. Cynic: congratulations for winning.
As I said on Twitter, I still wonder why Glenn Wolsey always gets the good stuff. I mean, is he some kind of semi-God living in the depths of the New-Zealndic forest? Maybe he’s like Steve Jobs’s cousin, which is why he gets Twitterrific betas one day before us.
