Did you know that this year is the 40th birthday of the modern ATM? Developed by De La Rue the first electronic ATM (First installed in London on June 27, 1967) accepted only a single-use token which was kept by the machine, but the idea of a PIN and a card were later developed by a British engineer James Goodfellow in 1965. Kinda an interesting history on such a common everyday object.

    The card and pin was LATER developed in 1965? If I’m correct, 40 years ago was 1967..so how can it be later developed…by what you said the pin came before the atm :O
