Google Reader receives subtle UI enhancements

I didn’t catch any news of this anywhere, not even the Official Google Reader blog, so I’ll just do my thing and let users know that Google Reader received some subtle UI enhancements. These enhancements come in the form of buttons which have replaced the older plain text links of yore. As you can see from the screenshot above, Google Reader now sports a "refresh" button in the subscriptions list, as well as "Mark as read" and "refresh" buttons in the reader pane.
Now that we’re on the topic of readers, what is your current preferred choice? I’ve moved completely back to Google Reader now that I access feeds on various platforms including my BlackBerry Pearl. Yes Dan, a BlackBerry!
When I’m using my Mac mini, I prefer to use NewsFire. I use Google Reader when I’m using other computers and devices.
Netvibes.
I used GR previously but it doesn’t really have the flexibility of vibes – although I’ll happily be persuaded to use something else.
NewsFire – who the hell uses online newsreaders anyway?
Google IG has slight font changes and now I can’t click on the RSS titles to take me to the blog’s home.
I used to swear by Bloglines, then they started sucking. I now use Newsfire.
Don, are you referring to the title above the content area? Clicking on the title should still take you to the originating [feeds] page.
NetNewsWire for me.
Not for me. It shows the URL in the status bar, and clicking the link feels like it does click the actual link, but the page doesn’t go anywhere.
Don, any Greasemonkey or Userstyles that you’re running with Google Reader?
I to am using Google Reader. To me it is the best of the online readers. Plus I can view my stuff on my moto q with google reader mobile so that is a big plus.

While MultiNewsReader for Yahoo! Widget Engine is still my favorite, l’m increasingly using the RSS feed reader on my N800. lt’s what’s with me all the time, afterall.
How are you using Google Reader with your Blackberry Pearl? When I try to pull up the interface on my Blackberry Pearl the links and headlines are all missing..
Is there a browser update or anything?
Thanks!
I have the same problem as Del, so any clues about how to get reader working would be much appreciated!
I have the same issue as Del and Ian with my pearl. Google reader work a few weeks ago and now all I get is blank screens with just numbers
I’m having the same problem as Dell and Ian are. I can’t view Google Reader on my Pearl. It worked about 2 weeks ago and then one day it just stopped working. Now all I see is blank white pages with only numbers on them.
I too have the same problem. One day my google reader suddenly went blank.
Now my google reader shows only blank page with only its logo. I tried with Settings, My Account etc. But those things didn’t work. I tried with IE, Firefox. Even in between system is formatted once. But nothing seemed to work.
Google guys please address this issue…
