innocent people are being slaughtered in worse ways than this every day. so seeing some dolphins being killed for food, isn't really one of my top priorities for "concerns about the world"

Everything from the title of this post down down to the 'facts' in the video is stupid. The only thing that does ring true is the catagory it is posted in. Stupid.

oh. yeah, while I remember. Dolphins aren't fish. They are mammals. Further more they are whales and whales aren't fished they are hunted and in some instances slaughtered like any other cattle, which is what is depicted in the video.

Get your facts straight.

I think our biggest problems is that we hide this from children. If you want to enjoy a hot dog, or fish stick, you should know what had to happen in order to get those. I'm continually surprised by the ignorance en masse which thinks that animals magically appear on your dinner plate. And none of this is crewel or inhumane. It's life. We come into this world, and unless we're very very lucky, we will all go out in a world of pain. And then bacteria, insects, fungus and molds will eat us. If you eat meat, something had to die to put that there, and death, is never pleasant.
Oh, and don't frown on Japan. Hindu holds the cow as sacred, and where I come from we slaughter them wholesale here. We have bumper stickers claiming pride in it.

I wouldn't necessarily carry any disdain for Japan in general. It's their culture and far from some of the realities that any country might hide in their closets. The one thing that made me cringe a little was how the kills were made in plain view as children walked by.

Wow ... I can't believe they leave the animals to die like that. That is disgusting and .. wow. Thanks for the post Derek this has changed my thinking of a few things on how Japan works. I can't believe they will allow something like this.

I'm a fairly tough person and can usually take a lot, but I had to stop a little over half way through.

I think these people should be put through the same exact things that these dolphins are going through and see if they continue to do it.
