We interrupt this broadcast with "breaking" porn
The ‘ol program switcharoo. Arizona area cable customers enjoying a television program featuring former news anchor Tom Brokaw witnessed their television screens flicker to display hardcore pornographic content. Customers briefly witnessed their scheduled programming go XXX without warning.
Viewers of a news show broadcast on a Phoenix-area cable television station received a lot more than news — hard-core pornography started streaming into their living rooms, replacing a health show featuring former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw. The incident on KPPX-TV Monday night prompted a flood of calls to local news media outlets and cable provider Cox Communications, including one from Chandler resident Brenda Schodt, who said she was shocked to look up and see graphic sex acts on her television screen.
Way to go Cox, living it up in Arizona eh? Sounds like someone was playing a little prank on television viewers.

heh… you said Cox
It’s probably not Cox’s fault. I was a master control operator at my local TV station, and there would be little the provider could do to stop it. They would eventually do something once it was called in, but that takes time.
One day we ran a movie that made liberal use of the f* word, and no one gave the censored copy of the script to the closed caption writer so it all showed up down there. We just let it run. The provider did nothing.
This probably was some kind of joke, I am thinking. I use Cox for both my cable and ISP, and their whole company is a giant joke. They tend to have have digital distortion right in the middle of their own commercials that are saying how they have “crystal clear digital quality, and top rated award winner service.” The bible contradicts itself less than Cox does.
