When it rains it pours: Yet another Wii mod chip is in the wild. The Wiid claims that it will have:

  • Non Swap/Direct Boot for Wii and GameCube backups
  • Non Swap/Direct Boot for Homebrew in GameCube mode
  • Removes region coding
  • Compatible with all the Wii Console Versions/Drive currently
    available
  • Full support for DVD-R/DVD+R and DVD+RW/DVD-RW without Booktype
  • Recovery Mode for incomplete/Bad Upgrades
  • Stealth mode
  • Firmware fully Upgradable via DVD

Now too bad Nintendo STILL can’t produce enough Wii’s that people can buy (or win)

with the advent of the mandatory firmware updates, mod chips are dangerous territory now a days. :/ ill bootleg MS and Sony games, but i gotta buy all my Nintendo games. Show support.

  2. I don’t plan on damaging my Wii, so no thanks. Though I would like to be able to play DVDs on my Wii, so if there was a chip to enable that I may take a chance.
