The Second Revision PS3: Less for More?

Europeans (and all PAL versions of the PS3) WILL NOT be able to play all PS2 games, and it is rumored that the US is next. Sony is axing the Emotion Engine chip from the PS3 forcing the expensive space heater next gen console to emulate a PS2 through a software-based method – which causes severe playback problems.

Cost cutting measure? You bet it, BUT should Sony already be deleteing features from a console that is not selling well, hampering its performance?

    I work at Brand B electronics store and according to Jack Tretton we have 42000 dollars worth of PS3’s at our store right now. man if only he’d own up to that.. I’d be rich!
