Typography at it’s finest… NSFW
This post was published 2 years 7 months 27 days ago and its content may not be valid anymore.Being an ex art school student I spent many hours studying the art of Typography… be it expressing emotion or using color and spacing to convey a meaning, been there done that. If I would have had a professor show me this clip at the introduction of a class I think I would have completely changed that way I thought about and used typography in the months of projects that would follow. With that in mind I officially give this the “Best Use of Typography Ever” award from yours truly.

I am a current art school student, and i think this rocks. I am a huge fan of After Effects and I am amazed by the cooness here. I love it. I am currently in an internship working on After Effects graphics for MTV shows like Bam’s Unholy Union, so if you see something like this on MTV don’t be surprised ;-P
by the way, the link to the guy’s website is on the iFilm page, but the link left out a “t” in his first name. He has some cool videos. … but to be honest. I can do this kind of stuff in After Effects easily… my mind is just not creative enough to think up such things :-P

Same here, it’s not the technical merit that impresses me, it’s the creativity and originality

It goes into some detail with regards to animating intonation. It also has many great examples, though not quite as nice as this piece.
