As an Apple guardian I must disagree with Dov, A Sony Vaio C Series comes with exactly the same features that any MB excepting the 160 hard drive (Black MB comes with 120) and you can find it in Best Buy for $1699 and the Black MacBook just for $1499. I don't think that the HDD is worth more than 200 bucks.

"then you face the 1year lifetime, then you pay yet more money to keep it alive"

Give me a break! I have a MacBook Pro that's 1 and a half year old and it is running perfectly well.

mac sux bigtime :D
see.. you pay a lot of money for the design, then you pay more money to make it useable..
then you face the 1year lifetime, then you pay yet more money to keep it alive, or you may get a brand new shiny one.. then the sony screen.. then.. :D

I dont have a problem with the glossy screen, and the edges on my Macbook aren't THAT sharp.

Though, this is a C2D macbook - I heard bad things about the first revision, so maybe apple are aware of it :)
