Adult Shoes with built in GPS

There two companies have created GPS enabled shoes that, with all the recent incidents of mountain climbers getting lost, seem extremely practical if not life saving (CNet is even quick to point out that there is even a practical use for streetwalkers).
Both GTX and Compass Digital have a installed a small GPS tracking device inside the shoe that constantly communicates the location to a central location tracking service. Both also use satellite technology ensuring almost global coverage, and the batteries in both pairs of shoes last several days.
