Will man go any faster in a production vehicle?

After witnessing the Bugatti Veyron travel at 253 MPH on a private race track, you begin to wonder if man will ever travel any faster in a production vehicle. Worst yet, will a normal consumer who would rather not spend millions of dollars on a single vehicle be able to do so for under $80,000 in this lifetime? I’ve felt the rush of 185 MPH on two wheels and I can’t even begin to imagine the feeling of 250+ MPH.

  1. Man, I would love to do that. Hell, I’d love to drive a Veyron at regular speeds on a public road! It would be fun to take one of these down to the local “run what you brung” races and slaughter everyone. -)

yanks, learn to have some taste in cars and watch top gear. forget your deforestation hummers and plastic cadillacs, and your stupid ridiculous bling suped up escalades. if you like what u see above have a go at top gear.

I think you’re missing a zero in the price you listed. I believe he said “800,000 pounds” (British).
