Forget The Deep Fryer, Get a High End PC

Oh the humanity! To substitute a deep fryer these geeks got a PC (Had to have a Core Duo Chip in it) and stuck it in a bucket filled with oil. Not sure what would kill you first, the unimaginable saturated fat or the lead and mercury levels. [via]
my school did this last year, but with a crappy computer and a medium sized fish tank.
I’m surprised the soldiers on the motherboard don’t just melt off (if that could ever happen).
High end? Those are ISA buses on the end of the motherboard. This thing has to be about ten years old… old enough for the massively heat-generating Intel chips were around. Somehow, I think that this thing might have been “High end” in some other decade, but now it’s just hardware they were willing to burn.
Core Duo? In a Mobo with ISA slots??
