Amazon spills the beans again! Besides showing off Adobe CS3’s spiffy new boxes, Amazon accidentally revealed the entire launch and prices for the highly anticipated production suite upgrade, it also revealed that PowerPC-based Macs are at the end of the road in Adobe’s eyes. I think I downloaded CS3 a week ago off of Isohunt.

Those are so awesome. Too bas their software is insanely priced.

Keven – You think? You would know, I’m sure.

Is is just me or did Adobe lie to us when they said they weren’t going to kill GoLive? That suck-diddlie-ucks Flanders. Dreamweaver better have some tight integration with the suite.

  4. Olivier says:

What would happen to GIMP or an alternative Photo edition OSS project if as little as 1000 customers gave $1000 to develop the app?

The OS app would excel Photoshop in a year and they would never have to pay such outrageous prices.
But I think Adobe will pull the usual “nobody ever got fired for buying Photoshop” kinda crap.

    Ohh well

  5. Thomas says:

The only reason its so high priced is because its PROFESSIONAL LEVEL.

Meaning you make money off of it. Sometimes alot.

  6. Ryan says:

I agree with Thomas, these are professional level apps. In fact, on one little 6 hour project, I can make enough to cover the license fee for Photoshop – 12 hours and I have the Web suite. That is a quick turnaround for products that can make you a lot of money.
