Ever snapped an image using your mobile phone? Don’t have the necessary hardware or cable connections to print said image on a home printer? No worries, Pictavision Teleprints have your needs covered with mobile phone photo printing [via].

Pictavision Teleprints is the easiest way to send camera phone pictures to a local Walgreens drugstore or the dotphoto online photo service for printing. Take a picture with camera phone, send it to Walgreens and either pick up the photo at the store or have them delivered to you at home! Get your camera phone pictures printed in as little as one hour at local Walgreens!

Would anyone consider using this type of service? Until the majority of consumer camera phones support at least 3MP images, is mobile photo printing even worth it?

I used one of those bluetooth printer station you see in shopping senters with an old 0.3MP phone a few years back. The photo came out quite nice as well.

I can’t imagine the quality being print worthy… I can imagine a lot of

“wow … that was a big plate of spaghetti!” – friend
“no dude… thats the girl I met at the bar with you last night” – me

For teenybopers shooting stupid pictures of their friends? Yes
    For an ameture photographer? No
For a professional photographer? Hell no

3MP? Are you kidding? Most print processes only run at 300dpi which means anything more than 2.1MP is overkill. 1MP gives you over 200dpi which is also plenty for very good shots. The larger problem is that the lenses on phones are generally garbage regardless of the image size and there is usually not a flash.
