Thanks to Apple for releasing official driver support for many of the newly released EVDO modems – WWAN Support Update 1.0. EVDO users who wanted support for use with their Intel Mac hardware – MacBook &t; MacBook Pro – will no longer need tutorials like this.

I’m still a little unsure as to why Apple wouldn’t release the update for use with all of their hardware. I tried to load the drivers on to my Mac Pro but received an error that the software could not not be used. Lame! How does Apple know that desktop users aren’t looking to use their EVDO modems? Why not release this patch as an optional Software Update for OS X?!
