locca.jpg You have keyless locks for your car, and a keyless garage door opener, why not have a keyless house?

The Locca Access is a wireless door key is capable of unlocking your door, but don’t worry if something does wrong (or you lose the receiver, or forget to charge it) you can still use a traditional key (that is probably hidden under the flowerpot by the door) to get in. The Locca kit comes with a rechargeable battery that can last up to 48 hours, and is available for $290.

What’s the point if it’s larger than a bunch of keys and has to be recharged overy 48 hours?
I would muck rather some kind of device like at the office here where a Credit Card sized key (actually a card) is in my wallet and when passed over a sensor opens a door.
    Much, Much better

either what you said or why not just use a number pad on your door???

$290 and I have to recharge it every other day?
Or I could just use my much-smaller regular key for free.

Uh oh, someone just hacked into my house and stole everthing

Yeah, it’s called lock picking. This isn’t any less safe than a regular lock.

And I agree, a fob that must be recharged every couple of days is lame. Why not just get an RFID chip in your hand and have a reader in the doorknob? That would be awesome. -)

It doesn’t have to be recharged after 48 hours. They say the battery backup will last 48 hours if the power goes out.
