…and he only realised as soon as he saw lamp posts, which apparently are not very common in airport runways. The plane took a quite a beating as it hit several road side objects, including road signs and a tree.

Luckily the 68 year old who in his lifetime ammased more then 1,200 hours of flight, wasn’t flying a commercial plane and the road is still under construction so there were no cars around.

You’ve got to love these sort of stories. They make quite a good topic of conversation, and usually put a smile to your face. I guess that’s schadenfreude for ya!
