This post was published 3 years 1 month 14 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.Programmer extraordinary – Sean – pointed me out to a little project that he had coded up which seems to answer a lot of everyones desires for a SUPER simple syndicated content service. The answer is Sabifoo.
What is Sabifoo? Imagine the possibilities of creating your own personal Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feed to pass around to friends or family. This feed can then be added to an RSS reader. Any updates or news that you want to get out to readers, friends, or family can then be published using your existing instant messaging account. No need to setup an actual blog. Sabifoo allows users to create instant updates without the need for pesky registrations.
If you already have a blog with a system that supports RSS integration for posting, you can use your Sabifoo RSS feed as a data source. Result: blog via IM!
Keep a to-do or reminder list that’s always visible to you on the web or using your RSS aggregator. Result: manage your daily life or keep the family up to date!
The personal usefuleness of the service is perfect for anyone who needs to remind themselves of important details or todo items. Add the IM contact to your mobile phone, and subscribe to your own RSS feed to receive updates when you get back home. No registration required! Simply add the Sabifoo contact to your instant messaging account and enjoy “instant possibility”.
That is so freakin’ awesome! I’ve been struggling to get Wordpress working with my site design – it doesn’t seem to like being included in other pages unless the page and the blog are in the same directory. This would probably be an easier way to update!
