We’ve all been down this road before. Same song, different singer. But THIS service is really cool! You gotta love people people that find loopholes in the telco system to let people make FREE calls. AllFreeCalls gives you an Iowa number to call (712-858-8094) – Remember this part for later. Once you give it a ring, you can then dial your destination number free of charge or time restrictions, so long as it is in the 41 countries they support. The only gotcha is that your telephone company may charge you long distance to Iowa, but I suggest you use your cellphone since most companies don’t charge for long distance.
This method is so novel because it requires NOTHING to install, no need for a PC.
Then how do they do it? This is where being in Iowa pays off. There seems to be some sort of regulation that gives rural telcos a kickback for every call received (You know the Telco subsidy tax on all your phone bills). So the money AllFreeCalls.net gets for you calling them happens to be larger than what it costs them to patch you through to your destinations, so this scheme is profitable!
Wonder how long this will last. And MAJOR props to the legal team who figured this one out!
So this works Internationally? When I travel to Europe I can dial through Iowa and not play long distance? I know I will have to change my SIM card to use the towers there, but can I still use this?
