Thanks to a tip from TUAW, everyones favorite iChat software enhancing developer Ecamm Network has recently updated the iChatUSBCam utility which allows iChat users free choice of any USB webcam usage with iChat.

I’m going to take this opportunity to warmly recommend two other Ecamm products that I personally use: iGlasses & Conference Recorder. Both have proven their weight in gold registration fees enhancing my iChat experience tenfold.

iGlasses provides users with a handful of camera presets designed to make your webcam a little more useful with filters like night vision and various basic enhancements. Conference Recorder does exactly what the title implies by allowing users to record video chats saving files as Quicktime movies.
