Hi...in the process to recover data from a damaged MBR disc (yes tryed to fix with Recovery Console...didn´t worked) i had to use GPARTED to:
Acess HDD,
Creat second Partition,
Copy/Paste data to New Partition,
Delete 1st Partition and NTFS format it and quit GPARTED
Fresh install of WXP (actualizations,Drivers,etc,)
Went back with GPARTED,
Copy /Paste data to !st partition,
Deleted "old" partition (creating Unallocated space),
And finally Resized 1st partition to the intire HDD space.
And all went smooth ,fine job GPARTED .
Be patiente with time it takes :)

Incredible.

At first I missed the instructions for changing the Emulation "Use Image File" AND the Boot Sequence. Changed that and BOOM! It worked! Thanks!

I am having the same problem as Geoff. I went through the above steps successfully (I thought) but when applying the operation, I received a message that an error had occurred when applying the operation. Help! Thanks.

Running 10.5.5 on and 24" iMac. Using Parallels 3.0 (5608). I needed to download a newer version of the boot disk (gparted-live-0.3.9-4.iso) but once I did it worked perfectly! Thanks!

Dude, thank you so much for taking the time to document this. I had a problem with the ntfs resizer barfing, but it was because I hadn't cleanly shut down my WinXP. Once I did that, it worked like a charm.

Everything was fine until I tried to boot into Windows Vista. Now I get an error message saying: Windows\system32\winload.exe (status 0×0000225) and “The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.”

Please help!
