I understand how it looks. However if you look at why they bump people maybe you would understand. If they sit in traffic they get rockets, RPGs, and gunfire. Thats why they cant sit in one place for too long. So they keep driving, they dont stop. Getting boxed in or stuck in traffic could mean certain death

sorry guys Art has a point. I must admit though, it is a pretty dick looking move but you can clearly hear them beeping the horn the whole time …. I guess think about it here int he states if you saw and heard an ambulance coming… and then slowed down in front of it and hit your breaks… sure they won’t bump you, but if they could … they would.
on the other hand, I’m sure locals listening to music not paying attention to the beeping horn coming from behind them then getting rear ended hate it…. way to build good ties with the people not trying to kill you guys…
I dunno, wars a bitch, and I’m fairly mixed on both of these points… but… yea, you can’t take it for face value as art mentioned, but that does not make it completely acceptable either…
I can say this in complete certainty though … if I was in a hummer, and if my hummer stopped I could easily be killed… I’d be bumping grinding and driving over anything that saw me coming and still got in my way…

I love that everyone knows to pull over when they get hit. And even the oncoming traffic just moves out of the way.
It ends right before they got to a tractor. I imagine a bit to pop up saying… “Found out what happens next!”
Matthew, they actually looked to take the bus pretty smart. They went out and clipped it’s corner to push it out of the way. Frankly, if I were in the situation that those marines were in there’s no way in hell I’d be stopping in the streets for /anything/.

I wouldn’t say ridiculous, I’d say disgusting. Also disgusting are the idiots who justify such behavior. If those soldiers are afraid to die, they should just come back home to America.

i might have read that wrong.. but its completely legal for fire truck and ambulances to ram cars in there way.. when i was younger there was a red light and an ambulance had to get into a parking lot but there was a car in the way.. and cuz of the red light had no where to go the driver didnt think twice and just pushed the car sideways..
i stayed around cuz i thought it was completely moronic of the driver to ram the car.. but after hearing the cop that showed up and how he explained a persons life is more valuable then a car i looked up laws on it and i found facts that more deaths are caused by people in the way of ambulances and teh ambulances hitting the cars then people dieing in ambulances on teh way to the hopital.. cuz ambulances are jsut like a large truck while fire trucks are built as strong as tanks

No one there wants to die. If they don’t drive with the right of way in the emergency vehicle they’re in, they’ll get killed. And then they died for nothing. They died in the middle of the road. Bump some cars or be killed? I’ll take the former.

Seriously Kuzum? What a completely ignorant thing to say. When a military individual receives orders they have to follow them or face the consequences or the UCMJ. Now think about it – when you receive on the job training (i.e. how to properly cook a hamburger before serving it) you don’t deviate from those instructions or it’s your ass – correct? What if it was your life or the life of one of your co-workers? Do you even watch the news? Or maybe you’re watching FOX news – is that it? Perhaps you should step back away from the forums until you start thinking.

and about the video… does anyone in Baghdad look in their rear view mirror? lol. i think the the Humvee has the right to do what it’s doing, but i think citizens of Baghdad should be used to this by now… get out of the damn Humvee’s way, lol.

I’m just happy I got out of the military almost four years before we went to war, otherwise, I might have been over there, too. Though it’s doubtful a Navy guy would be driving around on the streets.
I say do what it takes to survive. Nobody really wants to be over there and get killed. It looks like the citizens understand why they aren’t slowing down, too. Or they at least are used to it. Look at the pedestrians and how casual they are (except that guy who bolts across the street).
Maybe they need a better horn. That one sounds pitiful – no wonder they have to bump cars out of the way.
Yeah but that Humvee sounds pretty bad-ass.
