The Squirt Station

Microsoft is currently planning ways to make their social music player, a bit more social (Mine found no love at CES). They are rumored to be eyeing WiFi-enabled nationwide retail restaurants such as Starbucks and McDonalds to allow Zune users to wirelessly “fill up” their Zune by “squirting” via special workstations.
First of all, Microsoft marketing must have been on acid the day that they let “fill up” and “squirt” fall in the same sentence for a product they produce. I can just imagine the pickup line at Starbucks now “Hey, Do you mind if I squirt you something, I’m sure you’ll like it”

Thats not very social. its like adding bots into xbox live.
Oh Zune still exists =)
Cool.
Did Microsoft have any profit with the sales yet?
MS was formed from a bunch of geeky engineers and til this day is ruled by a bunch of geeky enginners. I can easily imagine a bunch of middle aged geeky tech people referring to the transferral of data from device to device as “squirting” without any clue as to the meaning of the term to the main stream consumer. Can’t you ? They can write code and they know how to take a business position but they don’t know d!ck about marketing.
^ LOL
bless them. at least they are *trying* to innovate a bit these days..
Oh how quaint, MS releases an iPod-act-a-like years after Apple released the iPod. Months after the release of Zune, Apple then announces how their new device will blow away all the other [not so] “smart phones”.
I can’t wait till MS releases their one-up for cell phones. I’m sure it’ll be a sight to CE.
MS chose brown as a colour for their poorly-named Zune, which ’squirts’ data???
Bad choice of words and colour.
Is the Zune purely greed fuelled? What benefits does it have?
Buy an iPod.
