Duck survives two days in fridge after being shot

Left for dead after a recent hunting trip, a duck survived two days in a cold refrigerator only to lift its weakened head when the wife of the hunter opened the door.

The man’s wife “was going to check on the refrigerator because it hadn’t been working right and when she opened the door, it looked up at her,” said Laina Whipple, a receptionist at Killearn Animal Hospital. “She freaked out and told the daughter to take it to the hospital right then and there.” [...] “This duck is very passive,” Hale said. “It’s not like trying to pick up a Muscovy at Lake Ella, where you put your life in your hands.”

Time to fire up the Wii for a little faux “Duck Hunt” entertainment. Speaking of which, has anyone has any recent luck locating a console? I heard Best Buy or Circuit City was supposed to get some of the hard-to-find consoles in today. Thanks oneight.

In the UK they are still worth their weight in gold, however I have been lucky in finding one in a local Argos and one on the shelf in a Woolworth’s. Noone else can find one though :P

So I guess target is the the place to go… Just called one locally. Had quite a number in stock this morning. Sold out already but there are other places out in the boonies.

  5. I’ve had a Wii for over a month now. I lucked out one morning on CircuitCity.com. Easier than waiting in the cold again.

I work at Best Buy and we got about 30 or so in today. We had a line before the store opened, I think when I left we had like 10 left.

They just mentioned this on the radio news on the national radio channel P3 here in Denmark. I guess there’s not much else to tell today…
